Privacy Policy

The short version: The Pounce app has no developer accounts, analytics, advertising, or trackers. Gameplay settings and scores stay on your device. Apple or Google processes subscriptions; website visits and messages you send us are described below.

Who we are

Pounce is published by Fast Aperture Enterprises LLC ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Pounce iOS and Android apps and the website at pouncecatgame.com.

Information we do not collect

We want to be specific, because "we care about your privacy" statements often are not. Pounce does not collect any of the following:

Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
Your location, at any level of precision
Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or IDFA
Photos, camera, microphone, contacts, or health data
Usage analytics, crash telemetry, or behavioural profiles

The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or location. Android uses network access for store services and external links, and vibration permission for optional gameplay feedback. There are no advertising or analytics SDKs.

Information stored on your device

Pounce keeps a small amount of information locally so the game works the way you left it. This never leaves your device, is not readable by us, and is deleted when you delete the app:

Your cat's pounce count and which prey they catch most often
Your settings, including language, prey type and size, speed, number of prey, sound, vibration, and contrast options

Subscriptions and purchases

Pounce Premium is an auto-renewing subscription handled through Apple's StoreKit on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android. Your store account handles payment, subscription renewals, and cancellations.

Pounce does not receive your payment card details. The app checks subscription status with the platform store and verifies signed purchase information on your device. Pounce does not send purchase records to a developer-operated server.

Store processing is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.

Children

Pounce is designed for cat owners to use with their pets. It is not directed to children. The app contains no chat, social features, advertising, or user-generated content. External links open our support website, legal pages, or store subscription management. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

This website

pouncecatgame.com is a static site hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. We do not set cookies and we do not run analytics. Firebase Hosting maintains standard server request logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and reliability purposes; this is described in the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.

Support messages

If you email us or submit a bug report, we receive the contact information and message you choose to send. We use it to respond and resolve the issue. Do not include payment details or sensitive personal information. Contact us below to request deletion of support correspondence.

Your rights

We cannot access your locally stored gameplay data. If you want to remove it, delete the app or clear its local data. On iOS, manage subscriptions in Settings, your Apple account, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, your profile, Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Pounce handles data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
